Nicole York Photography is a Montgomery, Alabama newborn photographer specializing in timeless posed newborn portraits for families throughout Montgomery, Pike Road, Prattville, Wetumpka, Auburn, Opelika, Troy, Clanton, and Central Alabama. All posed newborn sessions are shot in our studio located in Montgomery, AL. We recommend booking your newborn session as early as possible, preferably during your second trimester as we book up quickly. When you book, we will use your due date as a tentative date. Once baby arrives, we will select the session date which is typically around 2-3 weeks old. Newborn sessions can take 1-3 hours depending on which collection you choose!

Once your session is booked, we will send you a newborn questionnaire to help with styling your session. You will also receive a newborn prep guide closer to your scheduled session to best prepare your sweet baby for his or her modeling debut! Your newborn session will be a treasured experience filled with all the "awww" s as we pose your sweet little bundle in the most adorable ways to capture a moment in time that will become your priceless works of art! Lastly, other than some personal items that will be listed in the newborn prep guide, we will provide everything! Beds, buckets, outfits, bonnets, hair pretties- you name it, we have it!

All newborn collections include a set number of digital images with a print release.Newborn Collections start at $595.

When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend booking during your second trimester (around 3–4 months before your due date) to ensure availability. Newborn sessions are reserved based on your due date, and my calendar often fills several months in advance.

How old should my baby be for newborn photos?

While newborn sessions can be photographed at various ages, I typically find the best results occur when babies are between 2–3 weeks old. During this stage, they tend to be sleepier and more comfortable in those sweet, curled-up poses.

Do you provide wraps, outfits, and props?

Yes! I provide everything needed to style your newborn session, including wraps, outfits, headbands, bonnets, blankets, and carefully selected props. All you need to bring is your baby!
